For millennia woman have met in Sacred Circles to exchange insights, wisdom and healing-- to share their stories, struggles and above all to offer each other deep listening, gentle inquiry, and opportunities to experience loving focused attention.
Through being present and connected with each other we explore our lives -- what holds us back, what inspires us, what gives us meaning, what frees us to live at our full potentials. We create together a safe space to mine gold from the ashes of our past, face and integrate parts of ourselves we may have become distanced from, and imagine into reality the possible human we are becoming.
In sacred circle, we are midwives to each other’s liberation and transformation, partners in one of the most important movements of our time. We come together to revitalize our spirits, and honor the spiritual, regenerative, cooperative, and healing qualities of the sacred feminine.
Since 2005, we have been offering our Women’s Sacred Circle Retreats in Yelapa, Mexico because of it's unique natural setting, open and warm, pedestrian-only community. There are no cars, no streets, no roads, only walking trails.
Each day, besides circle, the village life of Yelapa offers us opportunities to care for our bodies and souls through yoga, bodywork, hiking, swimming, dancing, paragliding, and making music. If we choose to rest in our Palapa, we have all the time we need to read, meditate, write, quiet our minds and open our hearts. If you're someone who enjoys speaking Spanish, there are always locals who would love a conversation. If you love children and want to volunteer an hour or two in the small community center, there are always little ones who would love your attention.
At night, in Yelapa, there is much to do. Always music! And delicious places to sit and eat or take a walk on the beach under the stars. Then, sleep to the sounds of the crickets and tropical forest creatures and the music flowing across the Bay. In the morning you'll wake to the sounds of dozens of birds, the hooves of horses on the stone paths, the calls of the fishermen, and the children playing.
Our Retreats usually begin on Friday afternoons with dinner and end eight days later on Saturday morning with breakfast. On days we’re not in circle, or taking time for ourselves, we’ll have special adventures. We often visit the neighboring village of Pizota, which is an even smaller fishing village (only 26 families) just around the southern point of Yelapa, 10 minutes by boat. There we’ll be treated to a lesson in preparing corn tortillas from scratch and cooking them on an adobe stove.
Our meals are lovingly prepared and come from local providers. Fresh fish, homemade black beans and rice, fresh corn tortillas, salsa, guacamole, chili rellenos, salads, steamed vegetables and deserts, all made with care and patience. Vegan, and vegetarian options as well.
We use two retreat spaces - At Casa de los Suenos, we're in luxurious renovated Palapas overlooking the main beach on the dry side of Yelapa. At Casas de Isabel, we're in rustic palapas in the tropical rain forest.
Women's Sacred Circle Retreats are facilitated by Linda Wolf & Genevieve Wolf Smeeth. Mixed gender Circle Retreats are facilitated by Linda Wolf & Eric Kuhner. For bios, see our staff page.

"I loved this circle and the time we spent in Yelapa. I didn't realize how different I felt until I got on the plane and looked at my face in the bathroom mirror. I saw myself and couldn't believe how much I'd changed! Now, I'm going home to be with my family and bring to our world some of the wisdom I learned." Jenny, Seattle
"Thank you for the awesome week in Yelapa. I think about it everyday and I am so grateful. The circle we created was so loving. I am so grateful to everyone of the women there who helped me work through stuff. I'll never forget this. I consider it one of the highlights of my life." Rose, Big Sur
